Hira Sultana is a Punjabi, Arab poet and painter based in New York City. 

 

Hira was born in Lahore, Pakistan, her family's roots are also in Baghdad, and she was raised in Boston, MA. She had begun writing poetry in grade school and continued to write wherever she migrated. Hira studied expressive art therapy and oil painting, and painting techniques such as blending, layering, and texturing. As a catharsis, her love for both poetry and paint are connected.
